After they're done, SpongeBob looks for the tape recorder and finds out that Patrick ate it! He presses the play button (actually Patrick's belly) and finds out he has to get some Krabby Patties. He goes and tells Patrick to help him catch jellyfish. Then SpongeBob comes back and this time he has to get some jellyfish jelly. SpongeBob has to first get his learner's permit from Mrs. It (Plankton) tells SpongeBob that Gary is hidden. SpongeBob wakes up and finds that Gary is gone! He finds a tape recorder. It destroys Robo Krabs, the Krabby Patties, and killing the sea ants. Plankton tells the sea ants press the fire button. Krabs about Robo Krabs and the missing Krabby Patties. Just then, Robo Krabs (sea ants) go by and take a peek. Krabs tells SpongeBob to fire at the ghosts (who work for the Flying Dutchman). SpongeBob holds on and when he lets go he lands in Mr. A jellyfish passes by and lands in SpongeBob's net. They start to chase after jellyfish and their nets aren't working to well so they get out the net guns. "I've been waiting for my Jellyfishing partner," she says. They go over to the "Carnival." SpongeBob then goes up on a hook and sees Robo Krabs.
"So much for my learner's permit," SpongeBob says. They have a little fun until the learner's permit flies away and lands in the mouth of a clam. The boat he's in goes haywire and sends him near the "Carnival" (hooks) which is where Patrick is at. Krabs even though he doesn't have a license.

He asks SpongeBob to protect his treasure from ghost pirates. The last thing Plankton asks for is a hundred dollar ransom. SpongeBob asks Squidward to help him collect cheese to get Gary back. Plankton tells them to bring Krabby Patties to The Chum Bucket, but they mishear and bring them to SpongeBob's house. SpongeBob watches a group of sea ants go inside The Chum Bucket. After the mission, Plankton tells SpongeBob that he needs a collection of Krabby Patties. SpongeBob asks Patrick for help, so Patrick agrees to help SpongeBob collect jellyfish jelly. The recorder fails to self-destruct after the briefing. SpongeBob's first task, given over a tape recorder, is to get his boating permit. Plankton kidnaps SpongeBob's pet snail Gary, and SpongeBob is required to do tasks for Plankton to give Gary back. The game features two separate stories, depending on which side of the bed the player chooses to wake up on.
